Tried and tested two Instant Messengers(IM) today…
Instant Messengers are the new era of communication.. A survey showed that young people type more than they talk… A battle of Instant Messengers had risen… In Singapore, MSN Messenger is the most widely used IM service… Yahoo! Messenger comes with lots of features… But it is hardly used… Maybe due to the overcrowding of functions which people do not use… Now there is the Google Talk… ICQ and AOL had better buck up… But they should have enough users in the states…

MSN Messenger 7.5
The newest messenger on the block from Microsoft’s .NET arm… The MSN… Not much change from the version 7… Only change is with the starting page before you logon… Now, you can see your display picture before you logon… Not much of a use… And after you sign in… You have the Add contact bar at the top now… Instead of the bottom… Tabs, Personal Settings, remain the same…

Google Talk beta
Google has branched out into a broad area of free services.. Blogger is an example… Just like GMail… Many successful projects… But Google Talk may face some problems… First is the too little frills programme… Compared to MSN and Yahoo!… It is a real no frills… MSN Messenger has expanded greatly since the first generation long long ago… Maybe one day it would be Google… Speaking of Google… I remembered the days when I first saw Google… Years ago… When Google was unheard of… I found Google on a personal website of some kid… And being young and was expanding my own sites… I copied the script from the website on to my own homepage… And it was some time later… That Yahoo! used Google to power its searches… And after that… Google went out on its own again challenging Yahoo! and became the multi-billion dollar company today….
Back to the Google Talk…As you can see…Talk, has the Google trademark colours…Absolutely no frills except the voice conversation… Very plain… You cannot have a name as you want others to see it like MSN… Nor a personal message… I think that is the major reason why many are still sticking to MSN messenger….And where are you going to look for friends to talk to using this programme? But it is a very small programme, with the installation file at only less than an mb and no further downloading unlike Yahoo! where you download this installation program and it will download other files needed depending on your choice…

So its better to stick to the old MSN messenger before the yougsters start to switch over… And its time for Yahoo!, AOL and ICQ to think why they are not successful!

Had been a long time since I last blogged…
Spent a busy day working loads before retiring home… Had a haircut and left for the BBQ at Ben’s place…

Had a great time today at Ben’s BBQ… First thing I reached the venue I had to go buy some charcoal for them because Ben forgot to do so… And when I got to the pitch… Had some comments on my hair… Haha… Hans and I were drinking like the beer is free… Hans bought it… Thinking that no one drinks he bought only six cans… And it’s Carlsberg… Quite diluted beer… So… we went to NTUC to buy some Baron’s Strong Brew… Two large cans… One for each of us… Cost us $4.50 per can… Only $3.90 per bottle… So I thought must well buy the bottle…Till I realized that its smaller than the can… Damn it…. We had a great time playing… The first craziness when I took a cup of water and poured it own Jill… Holy…. And the next thing we were playing trying to get Jillian into the pool… And for no reason… This crazy idiot got pushed into the pool by me… Stupid dumb ass… She was practically side walking into the pool… She was still on the ground when I walked a few steps away… And the nest second… She just walked right in… HAHA… And Ben went in next… When I tried to save Jillian… Ben tried pushing me in… Though I had a bit too much of a drink… I still managed to stay on ground… Jillian went in a second time… Haha… Forgot who did it… Don’t know whether its me… Sorry Jill…. After this crazy event… Ben’s mom brought Jillian up for a bath… Thanks Mrs Chua… And Ryan packed up everything… Thanks Ryan… And we shifted everything to Ben’s house… Played some Xbox and left the place… Me, Hans, Elton and Eko left the place first… We took a train home… My Dad was waiting for me at Gombak MRT and Home Sweet Home…

Finished my blog for the day on the Spook show and here I have another one…

Just realised that the Internet Explorer 7 Beta MSDN doesn’t come with a refresh button… Can’t find it even in the customize toolbar window… How can they miss such an important button.. Toot… Dumb asses of the Microsoft group…

Enough of Microsoft… Now about Yahoo!… Stupid ass programme… Can’t recognise that my IE version is newer than IE 6… So now I’m using a no frills… no nothing Yahoo! Mail… Can’t select the whole lot of messages at one go… No empty Bulk Mail button… Have to tick it one by one… And there are so much of them… Crazy…

And now… Google… Overall not bad but just a bit disappointed that the Blogger can only upload a maximum of 5 pictures a day - Think it is… Can’t upload them even when I tried in another blog entry.. - Wasted my time waiting for the upload.. Oh well… Never mind about that…

First we have the prelude where most of the stars of the show… The spook people… Some zombies… woman wearing a red cheongsam with a red umbrella… a hunch back sweeper and many other weird people… Before this really weird people came out there was this woman in a maroon dress with this weird hair walking past us… Hans pointed her out to me and I merely commented that probably she’s part of the show… And it turns out just to be the case… A few minutes later… This guy in a Ming dynasty costume - without the plait - walked around and when he reached a group of the he took out a small goblet with what Hans said was some damn small rubber snakes… The woman in blood looks cool too… And the mad scientist keeps pretending to eat something from his hand… One of the most crazy character is the mad woman in red cheongsam… Went around the audience disturbing them in the most annoying way… Sitting at their seats preventing a girl from going to her seat when her boyfriend went in… Haha…

The show started at around 7.30 with some -dance? And all that comes out in magic shows… The committee which witnessed the show were scared out of their wits.. And this guy who was under the knife was almost decapitated - joking - but thankfully Jillian was not there… If not she would be screaming not only when the spook people go around… But also when that guy goes on stage… Haha…

At the end of the show… The reason for the show was finally shown… It was some sort of preaching… Still about no magic… - If you were wondering why I said this… The show is buy Faith Community Baptist Church - They were telling the people that people should not believe in these magic stuff… Something about the devil and all… Can’t really understand… And anyway…

Hans and I left the show half way into the preaching… Just before the praying starts- seriously.. I do not know that there will be a praying… So thats that… And finally I would like to thank Ms Ching for sponsoring the tickets… Thanks alot there… Now just look at the pictures… Though there weren’t very nice…

Today hasn’t been a good day for me… And when I finally touched my computer… The first thing that made me fedup was the IE 7 compatibility with Yahoo! Mail… Simply disgraceful… How can the server program fail to realise that this is a more advance version of IE and not one that is older than IE 6.. So I have to use the stupid no effects no nuts Yahoo! Mail…

And after that incident.. I had my next shock… Stupid Renhao… Deleted my tag… Damn it… So I’m going to write the tag here.. Haha… And in case he modifies the information… I took a pic of the page… Wahaha….

This is our very kind Renhao’s blog… And the first line made me laugh till I decided to leave a tag… Since he said that he felt like a dick… Wouldn’t it mean that he’s a pussy? All agree?
And yet he deleted my tag when its perfectly right… Nuts! So now what to do.. I have to write it in my own blog where he can’t do anything to it! Haha!
