This is Singapore… A place where there is no freedom of speech… Not even at your personal space… Not even online… Somewhere which isn’t even in Singapore… This is all so ridiculous!
For the pass few months, more and more bloggers are appearing in papers… Not for something really that special about their blogs… Just that they were being sued or punished for writing their OWN thoughts, in their OWN journal… Its not that I have much against my teachers in school… Neither do they care… Or can they care what I said in my blog… I’m in an American university program… So everything is American… Freedom of speech… That’s the advantage… But that’s not the point here… In our own personal blogs.. We shouldn’t be stopped by someone, whom we have no relation to, to say things we like… My blog is for me to read… For people who like what I do what I am to read… Not for whoever whom I do not like and do not like what I want to say to read…
As Renhao told stone… My blog is for me to write what I think… Not what you like me to think or say… Those teachers who read about the bad stuff their students wrote about them, shouldn’t just go and tell the students off… Get the discipline department to settle the students… Suspend them.. Cane them… What nonsense is this? Why are they writing bad about the teachers? Shouldn’t the teachers who got bad comments think about how to change themselves to make themselves acceptable? This do not apply to only the teachers, applies to all who got bad mouthed… I’m generally quite okay with all my teachers… Especially those who taught me in Dunearn.. And those teachers out there who are trying to stop students bad mouthing them on blogs… You think you are an angel? What are you talking about with other teachers during lunch time or any other time about your Principal, Vice-Principal or any other administrative workers?
The underlying theory here is this… If you only want to listen to the good stuff… Go listen to Gold 90.5FM… Not the blogs…
