Work Piling Up
Posted in The Prophet on November 11th, 2005 by MoleznevAs the date line for the two research papers and one term paper draws closer, our workload starts to get heavier. Although I have written severeal pages for the ESL research paper, there is still MUCH to be done. Finding the costs of this and that. OMG! How am Isupposed to find that much time. Argh. And there is also the UGC research. I am still pondering whether to choose Tang or Qin Dynasty. Tang seems to be a better choice.
Me and Rh went to Ben’s place yesterday. My job was to help him format his stupid computer while Rh’s was to play. Stupid fatal frame. I wonder whats so nice about the game. Rh was supposed to go to Ben’s place this morning to play that stupid game. But after a meeting last night, our comms group- which excludes Rh- decided that we should not be at Ben’s place to do the term paper. So KJ and I booked the discussion room for four hours. I arrived the earliest. Ben arrived slight ly later. I was reading the papers in the student lounge then. We played two rounds of pool and went down to the discussion room. Ryan arrived sometime later and read through my outline for the intergrating stage and sat in front of my laptop trying to get his info out while Ben and I argued with him how my idea of integrating cultural backgrounds into the term paper would be feasible. I left them there for a moment and tried to buy markers from the library, but the dumb library do not stock any new stationeries. So I tried getting them from the LTs or rooms. Then it came to my mind that the Comms LT was probably opened and empty. And indeed it was. I got the markers and went back to find KJ already there. Elton was also there so I tried explaining my concept to them. Elton then went for comms while we tried brainstorming for ways to write. KJ got my idea and the two of us tried to explain to Ryan and Ben how it would work. They got confused and I tried to explain it again. At this moment, Renhao came.. It was hard for me to explain it, but at least he understood. But said it was complicated. TOOOT. Nonsense. But anyway, having Rh with Ben and Ryan there was a bad idea. They were playing with worms while KJ and I were working on the term paper. Damn. I took over the laptop after getting the outline for the whole essay proper. Just when I started the essay, Rh let out a laugh which made all of us laugh. He didn’t realise what we were laughing about though.
After having our high carbo-potato lunch. We tried getting our work done. But with all the noise, I couldn’t get much out. When all of them left-except KJ, I finally churned more info for my part. That Rh, came all the way to the west to go to Ben’s place for Fatal Frame. Should have called his house and ask for him to let his parents know that there’s no class. Hahaha.
