Leeching worms
Posted in The Prophet on December 12th, 2006 by MoleznevRecently, I noticed a rise in the number of foreigners in Singapore. This suckers who take away our jobs and money. When I was still staying in the heartlands some years ago, in the town of Bukit Batok, right beside the plot of land which is about to host the Queen of Batok, there were hardly any of these people. At most, there were some Malaysians, or Malaysian PR. Now, there are lots of Chinese, Indians and Bangladeshis around the neighborhoods. What have they turned our towns into?
For goodness sake. Is Singapore really that in need of people? Even though our birth rates are declining, isn't it horrendous to have these so called new citizens who do nothing but laze around and destroy our environment? The government of Singapore has turned the Pink Card that we have into some cheapo anyone also can get card. Whoever cares about the premium of the Singapore passport any more. It is no more than a third grade pass.
If you think I am talking nonsense, I shall state the facts that I saw with my own eyes. These horrible Chinese, spit around, are Kiasu and Kiasee like the world is ending the next minute, they are dirty, speak with a foul language, can't work for shit. Who says Singaporeans are Kiasu? Have you ever seen how these people's minds work?
Giving out citizenships and employment passes to these people are not solving the root of the problem. Talking about employing these people. I swear they can't work. While I was at Grand Copthorne Waterfront for the Wired Travel Conference, I approached one of the waitress to ask for directions to the toilet, guess what she said? With that strong Chinese ascent, she replied, "Er toilet? Can you wait? I go ask." What nonsense. In the end, I asked the manager, and of course got an answer. The toilet was just round the corner, behind a partition. Stupid. At IMM, there used to be this Indian lady cleaning the toilet, although she doesn't really do her job well cleaning the toilets, it is not as bad when this new Chinese woman take over. I know that sometimes people do make the place wet. However, there are also times when, because the toilet is in quite a bad condition, and Capitaland is too busy expanding its malls to make more money, instead of bothering about Shoppers and Tenants experience, the pipes seems to be leaking. Causing the floors to be wet. It is the job of the cleaner to clean the toilets - inform me if I am wrong. Once, I overheard this Chinese lady, complaning to the manager and her colleague that the toilet is always wet, an hour or so after she cleans. And it is dirty as well. Then she has to clean it again. DAMN! Ask you to come and work of course you clean la. What the heck. Why is it wet again is also your fault. And your company's. Why is Changi Airport's toilets clean and dry? Because the hand dryers are working, the floors are dried after each cleaning, the basins are cleaned and dried with a proper piece of cloth. According to my aunt who witnessed what this woman did, she used a wet rag, dirty enough that it could probably be found in a vice den cleaning shit, to clean the basins, a mop probably found in street side hawker stalls left beside the drains, a pair of tongs used to pick up all sort of stuff and then left on the basins.
The Bangladeshis seems to have no homes. They roam around the already packed shopping centers, gathering in packs and blocking the way. Sometimes, a bunch of them crowd the narrow pathway leading from IMM to Jurong East MRT. What's worse, the pathway, built by the all so smart and powerfull PAP who pointed the finger at Chiam when a pathway at Potong Pasir wasn't done properly, does not have any lighting. So, if you are not alert, you may just bump into these people.
Recently, at a Toastmasters and SSW workshop, someone raised the issue of the government deciding to cut subsidies given to foreigners and PR. Another person, acting as a foreigner gave this objection, we came here to work, to produce in your country, should you not give these to us? NO, I would say. Why should we give you these benefits? And then the foreigner or PR would say, you are treating us as second class citizens. YOU ARE NOT EVEN A CITIZEN! HOW TO BE SECOND-CLASS CITIZEN. Get out if you wish. If you have work given to you in your country, why would you come here? Be thankful if you have a job. Our own graduates can't even find a job.
Talking about workers, are the maids of today coming to enjoy or coming to work? There are so many regulations prohibiting the kind of work that they do. We have to give them holiday and everything. Increase salary, but no decrease in taxes. Work less and get more. What about the Singaporeans? Do we work less and get paid more? We work more and more! Think we are very rich? Our money for all these idiots to suck?
Some of these foreigners do not even contribute to production here. Foreigners, PR and Singaporeans, all pay about the same rate for university education in Singapore. Government subsidized rate. Why should we give people our hard earned money? It belongs to us. The true Singaporeans. Talking about it, everytime the government gives out money to foreign countries, they have never asked for our opinions. Whether we want it or not. What crap is this. It's our money. They give it to others and then take more from us, by raising all sort of fees and taxes.
Recently, the government just took another slice of Singaporean's money, especially the middle class, by raising transport fares and GST. They then give these to the rich people, by lowering corporate tax, and then giving some to the poor. And about the GST. Why do we have to increase GST (by up to 40%!! 66.6% during the past increase! Over a 100% increase since it was introduced about a decade ago!) to lower corporate tax anyway? LOWER THE DAMN MINISTERS SALARY. Why are they calling for an increase in salary? Their salaries are already one of the highest in the world. Alot higher than the US ministers'. Besides, Lee quoted Hong Kong planning to have GST to finance their low corporate tax of 17%, compared to our 20%, BUT HONG KONG HAS ALREADY SLASHED THE PLANS FOR GST. So what are you still doing?
If the government continues to act in whatever ways they like, they can wish and hope, but it would never be Singapore again.
