Dumb Americans

2 weeks we've been at Buffalo, and we are slowly adapting to the American way of life. The first week of class was kind of slack, but still tough, with 19 credits. Just before we began classes, few of us went to Niagara Falls. The trip was fun but the sight wasn't that great.

Today, the girls left us without a word to visit Pennsylvania. We only found out when Jerry went down to ask them whether they would like to go Walmart and found Cheryl alone at home. So much for being friends. So the 4 guys with William and Cheryl went to Target and Wegmans to buy a printer and do some grocery shopping. In the end, we bought about 2 weeks worth of supplies, costing US$200+.

After we came home, Cheryl's sickness became worst and we called the University Police to get her to the hospital. I think anyone would freak out when they see the amount of help that came. All I asked for was an Ambulance, but in the end, 2 Police Cars, 2 Ambulances, 2 Paramedic Trucks and 1 Fire Engine came. If Ryan - our house mate, came back at that time, I think he would think that our building had caught fire.

The University Police were also well-built. If only Singapore's police were so efficient and so well-built, I think crime rates in school would reduce drastically.

P.S. These dumb people at the UB Student Union hung our flag the wrong way! If anyone from the consulate happens to drop by, please tell these idiots to respect our flag.
