Welcome to Super-Sized Country

Just arrived in Buffalo a few days ago, in the town of Amherst. This is truly a SUPER-SIZE nation where the smallest things they ever built were the Boeing [BA] 787 and micro-chips. If idiots getting caught in between the platform and the train are blaming SMRT, they should try using the trains in JFK Airport where the gaps are like almost 2 times bigger. Met with the guys on my first day here as the girls have gone to NYC to suffer. Also met with blogger Kevin yesterday, but we didn’t really talk much and intro to each other cos of something I will explain later.

We had our first meal at Subway, known for its big fat, foot-long sandwiches. When we reached the place at about 8PM, the store was almost closing. Lazy. We quickly ordered the sandwiches, which cost me over US$8 without drinks or anything.

We went shopping for things all over, and had to walk great distances. I had 2 times more than enough to experience walking in America. Its’ never ending. We walked mile after mile form Walmart to Tops cos some woman from Walmart told us its nearby, and then walked miles from Tops through North French Rd trying to get back to campus. This is absolutely crazy. And no one was willing to help, not even the University Police could help direct us back to school. In the end, we still had to depend on a couple of Singaporeans.
